Cheese Ball

Yup, you read that right - this is a recipe for a cheese ball. Because sometimes, life isn't cheesy enough all on its own.

You will need:

1 pound velveeta (the cheese of the gods)
1 8-oz package creme cheese
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Some garlic powder (I like the Garlic and Herb mix kind)
Chili powder. Lots.
Beater. Or a spoon and a really good arm.
Aluminum foil

Leave the velveeta and creme cheese out on the counter for a while to soften. Technically, velveeta doesn't need to be refrigerated in the first place. Gotta love that.

Mix the cheeses in a bowl until well blended. This works best with a mixer. Add the nuts and garlic and mix again. This works best with a spoon.

Cover the bowl and place in the fridge until the cheese isn't quite so soft. Take it out of the fridge, and shape into a ball. Or maybe a swan, or the Venus di Milo. Whatever strikes your fancy.

Lay out a piece of aluminum foil, and dump some chili powder on it. Roll the cheese ball in the powder until it's completely coated. This is easier if you stuck to the traditional ball and didn't go with the di Milo chick concept.

Throw a party. Why not? You've got the cheeseball!
