|Easy Company Chicken
You will need:
Chicken pieces. This is very rich, so skinless is best.
A package of powdered spaghetti mix
Butter or margarine
A can of chicken broth
Some wine (white or red)
A can of mushroom stems and pieces, or fresh mushrooms, sliced
A frying pan
A covered baking dish
Dump the packet of spaghetti mix into the bowl. Melt some butter or margaine in the frying pan. Roll the chicken pieces in the spaghetti mix and put them in the frying pan.
Fry the chicken until it's well browned. Move the chicken to the baking dish. If you're using fresh mushrooms, fry them a bit. You'll probably need to add a little more butter or margarine. Add the mushrooms to the baking dish. If you're using canned, drain them first. Helpful hint: I've made this both ways, and once it's cooked you really can't tell the difference between the fresh and the canned mushrooms, so save yourself a step and use the canned next time. Unless you're some sort of fresh-food snob, in which case you're on the wrong recipe site to begin with.
Scrape all the bits left in the frying pan into the baking dish. If there's any spaghetti mix left in the bowl, scrape that in, too. Add the chicken broth to the baking dish. Fill the empty broth can with wine and add that to the baking dish. The wine part, not the can. Rinse the can and recycle it. While you're at it, rinse the mushroom can and recycle it, too.
Cover and bake at 350 for about 40 minutes. Serve over rice. I did mention that you need to cook some rice, right?
